Dr. Kapadia graduated top of his dental school class from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After which, he completed his specialist training and Orthodontic residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. K has received many awards and distinctions over the years – to name a few - American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology award, James P. Bordelon Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Orthodontics, James P. Bordelon Award for Board Certification in Orthodontics, High Honors in Advanced Standing DMD, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award, and S. H. Sheth Award for Exemplary academic achievement in Orthodontics.
He received his Diplomate Status after completing the Board Certification Exams at the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of many professional associations - American Association of Orthodontics, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, and College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists. In addition, he served as the Advisory Committee Member for Sanford-Brown College's Dental Assistant Program. He is a Reviewer for national and international scientific journals on Orthodontics – American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics; Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society.
He has treated all age groups of patients, from 6 to 60 years old. His wide experience includes use of clear braces, metal braces, damon braces, lingual braces, clear aligners, soft tissue lasers, and jaw surgery. He has over a decade of dental and orthodontic experience and stays up-to-date with the current trends in Orthodontics.
Dr. K is young at heart, loves super hero movies, and warm brownies. He married the love of his life and they have two wonderfully chubby dogs.
Hi! Our goal is to make sure the patients get lots of love when they come see us. We love making new friends everyday. You will find us in the office, greeting you as you enter our reception. After graduating dental assisting school, I’ve worked at multiple dental offices before I’ve found my home, here at SBO. After you have joined our Smile Brite family, I will be helping with finances and insurance payments throughout your treatment. I will assist you with all your insurance questions and help you maximize your orthodontic benefits. Outside of the office I like to spend time with my family, friends, and my dogs.
